When making wine at Grapemasters, you can choose to one of two quantities.
Cuvée Privé
19 liters(26 bottles)
Barrique Triple
54 liters (72 bottles)
Did you know...
...on a bottle of wine the winemaker values at $10.00, the Federal and Provincial governments and LCBO levy 9 separate taxes and fees, bringing the usual retail cost to over $21.00 a bottle.
Chilean Harvest 2011 Pricing
Below is a list of the grapes we brough in from Chile in 2011, along with the costs of your commisssions. We are hoping to add in additional varietals, so check back here, or call us at 416 526 9856 for updates. If you are interested in buying grapes for your home production, please call us. At this point we are still finalising the choices for 2011, and hope to be able to bring in some special varietals from Californa, and possibly even from Italy!
Spectacular Red and White Choices
Cabernet Sauvignon: Deliciously rich black currant, mouth watering tannin, and fantastic aromatics
Carmenere: The "lost grape of Bordeaux" finds a perfect home in Chile. A long ripening period allows for layers of dark flavors and fruit, while velvet smooth tannins round out a guaranteed crowd pleaser
Malbec Ripasso: Fermented to maximise fruit character, then refermented with Cabernet Sauvignon skins for a younger drinking
Merlot: Medium bodied, with loads of cherry fruit and silky tannins for graceful ageing
Four Of Six: A house specialty- combining Cab, Carmenere, Merlot and Malbec, four of the six allowed Bordeaux grapes.
Chardonnay: Love rich Chardonnay? Then this is for you-pineapple and tropical fruit form a foundation for this rich chardonnay, that just loves the spice, vanilla and tannin picked up from extended oak contact.
