"I first encountered Charles' wines when I judged a competition of the Amateur Winemakers of Ontario, of which Charles is an active member. It wasn't hard to award his wines the highest honours. I can guarantee that the wines this unassuming shop produces are among the best an amateur can create."

About Grapemasters

Grapemasters is committed to breaking down the barriers that exist between grape growers, wine makers and you, giving you control of your wine from grape to barrel to bottle.

Great winemakers know that great vintages begin on the grapevines. That’s why Grapemasters invests so much time and effort to find outstanding vineyards. To help you make great wine, we look for the best vineyards in recognized appellations such as Napa and Sonoma. Then we go further to find other exceptional growing areas in Niagara, California and Chile that produce grapes of excellent calibre. We also look extensively at organic and sustainable viticultural practices since numerous studies have shown that vines produce better grapes when not fed a buffet of artificial fertilizers.

Charles Fajgenbaum is the consulting winemaker for Grapemasters.  A Certified Grand Master Winemaker by the Wine Judges of Canada, Charles is a multiple award-winning vintner. His wines have won gold, silver and bronze medals at both provincial and national competitions.  Charles is responsible for sourcing and selecting vineyards and grapes. He'll work with you to determine which grapes and winemaking techniques will help you fill your wine cellar with wines you love.

Well-respected in the winemaking community, Charles has been featured in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, CityTV, TVOntario and The Frugal Oenophile.
